Ullswater is the second largest lake in England and it boasts 7.5 miles of stunning scenery which makes it the perfect venue to use our fantastic super stable Wilderness System Northstar tandem sea kayaks. These kayaks are perfectly suited to complete novices or experts and offer a smooth, stable and very comfortable ride even in a breeze or waves. Distant Horizons provide full instruction and full supervision on all of our tandem kayak activities giving you complete piece of mind that you are safe and being well looked after.

Overnight Bivvy Expedition
Why not combine a paddle journey in our tandem sea kayaks with a night out under the stars? We offer a 24 hour expedition on Ullswater from midday through to the following lunchtime where we give you an amazing experience in the great outdoors. You will learn to paddle a tandem sea kayak, how to pack it with overnight kit, navigate to a bivvy site, set up and construct a bivvy site, buid an open fire and light it without matches or a lighter, cook over an open fire plus undertake other activities such as an abseil, swim under moonlight, catch a fish and it you are up for it jump intot he lake from 20ft - the options are endless. This is a fantasic little expedition that will fit with most people's available time and budget.
All equipment,clothing, food and drinks and full supervision and instruction is provided (except a sleeping bag) . This trip starts and ends at our outdoor activity centre at Watermillock.
Cost £135 per person. Minimum 4 people/Maximum 8 people
