The Lake District is a stunning place and we feel that the only way to see it is from the best seat in the house - from your kayak! At Distant Horizons we pride ourselves on the unmatched fleet of high quality single and tandem sea kayaks that we have. Without question they are the most suitable boats for exploring the Lakes and are very easy to paddle and offer a very high level of comfort.

We have invested in purchasing Wilderness Systems Tempests and Zephyrs which are single sea kayaks and Northstars which are tandems. All of the boats are extremely comfortable, easy to paddle and offer the beginner and expert alike the best there is in a quality boat to use on an adventure tour. All equipment and clothing is provided for all tours. We run lake tours for groups on a date of their choice and provide excellent all-inclusive packages.

We are based at Ullswater and have private lake access with the use of toilets and showers, but we can mobilise to other lakes such as Derwent Water, Coniston Water and Windermere. Give us a ring and let us know what you would like to do and leave the rest to us.
