Canoe and Kayak Hire
You can hire our superb kayaks, canoes and other great equipment throughout the year, offering a complete package including boat, paddle and buoyancy aid. We can also hire dry tops and pants, wetsuits, neoprene boots, neoprene mitts, dry barrels and dry bags. Often hired for expeditions in Scotland, collection and return could not be easier from Watermillock, only 10 minutes from J40 of the M6. For the Lake District, hire equipment can be collected and returned, or if you do not have suitable means to transport then we can deliver anywhere on Ullswater for a small fee.

Prices:
- A single sea kayak with neoprene spraydeck, Werner/Lendal paddle and Palm buoyancy aid is £45 per day
- A tandem sea kayak with 2 paddles, 2 spraydecks and 2 paddles is £85 per day
- An open canoe with 2 paddles, 2 buoyancy aids, bailer and sponge is £50 per day
Discounts will apply to hires lasting more than 2 days. We are confident that our equipment is the best you will actually be able to hire anywhere in the Lake District and we do allow it to be kept overnight so this makes planning an expedition easy! We also hire a wide selection of tents, thermarests, stoves, tarps, head torches, thrownlines, pumps, deckbags and dry bags to allow you to go even further afield in comfort and with piece of mind.
If you wish to hire any of our equipment you must be competent and have enough experience to use it.
All equipment that we hire is in exceptional condition and we reserve the right to charge for any damage or losses. A copy of a driving licence is required to hire equipment and we will also take a £250 damage/loss deposit - this can be taken on credit or debit card and re-credited on return of all equipment free from damage.
