Lake District Caving Courses
Our business associate GoCave.com offers a wide range of caving trips for individuals and groups. Courses can look at the technical skills of horizontal or vertical progression underground, and SRT self rescue or for those with previous experience, SRT trips into some of the more remote and complex cave systems can be undertaken.
For those looking for certified training: Local Cave and Mine Leader training courses can be tailored to the individual or centre, while still staying true to the British Caving Association scheme syllabus, and assessments for the scheme undertaken UK wide. Iain A. Rennie at GoCave.com holds the Cave Instructor Certificate and has a wealth of experience to match this high end award, enabling Training, Assessing Leading and Guiding to take place throughout the Caving and Mining regions of the UK.
From May 2010 we will be opening our brand new purpose built technical training centre at Watermillock, Ullswater in the Lake District. The venue is perfect for technical training in a range of caving techniques including abseiling, laddering, rigging skills including traverses, rescues and hauling, directional abseils and tyrolean traverses. All equipment is provided during all training at the centre including full SRT rigs (new May 2010) If you are looking for an amazing experience for your group in the magical subterranean world please give us a call to discuss the many options available.
