Take on an adventure challenge in the stunning Ullswater valley where you get to choose the activities and difficulty.
We have designed this multi activity event so that groups can choose from a variety of outdoor activities and combine them in a way that creates the right level of challenge for you. The route is based on circumnavigating Ullswater lake by bike and on foot but with the options of including kayaking, an abseil, cliff jump and a bit of competition on the archery range all as part of one circular journey.
To link the four sections of the route choose from either a or b in section 1, 3 & 4 to create your own Ullswater Challenger:
|1||a: Road bike from Distant Horizons to Sandwick||14.5km||140m|
|b: Road and off road route from Distant Horizons to Sandwick via Askham Fell||21km||430m|
|2||a: Hike from Sandwick to Patterdale/Glenridding via the lake shore path||8.5km||300m|

Due to the lengthy duration of the event we advise people to stay in the local area the night before and after, and for those looking for a self-catering option we have our own lodge available for private hire. Our Lakeland Lodge provides basic but comfortable communal accommodation for up to 12 people. For groups interested in alternative accommodation we can source a variety of options.
