Due to the nature of this event regarding the impact it has on the local areas involved, and the levels of fitness required for successful completion within 24hrs, we are no longer running the National 3 Peaks. Alternatively we have a large variety of events that are as equally challenging but take place in one area, reducing our carbon footprint and offering outdoor events more in tune with the body’s ability to tolerate intense challenges. These events include specific walking challenges to multi-discipline events that are great for teams, those new to the outdoors, people looking for a personal goal and groups raising money for charity who want to be part of an inspiring and memorable outdoor experience.
Alternatives you may want to consider if you are looking for a walking specific challenge which involves well known land marks are:
This challenge event involves climbing the 3 highest mountains in England - Scafell, Helvellyn and Skiddaw, which are all located in the Lake District. Due to the close proximity of the peaks it removes hours of driving between peaks and for those looking for a bigger challenge you can link all 3 peaks by walking in between in 24 hours. Alternatively split it up with an overnight camp and do it in 2 days, or another 1 day challenge involves linking the peaks by biking which adds a different dynamic to the challenge. Click here for more information on our Lake District 3 Peaks. This is a fantastic mountain walking challenge which we think knocks the spots off the National 3 Peaks
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks is a continuous walking challenge which links the 3 highest peaks in Yorkshire, Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-Y-Ghent. A great mountain walking challenge that gets you more active rather than spending hours sat on a minibus. Click here for more information on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge event.
