Gorge walking is a fun, physical and exhilarating activity requiring high levels of team work to navigate various obstacles along the way.
Gorge walking involves ascending and descending a rocky gully in the mountain side which is flowing with water, and there are a host of fantastic locations in the Lake District. The terrain has natural obstacles such as deep pools, slides, jumps and waterfalls which the group have to navigate, and for a team to successfully complete the journey they need to assist and support each other along the way, even holding their team mates rope as they climb waterfalls. Gorge walking therefore requires a team to work closely together and is great for breaking down boundaries and stretching comfort zones.
