A BRAVE bunch of fundraisers jumped off Carlisle’s Civic Centre on Saturday in the name of charity.  Fifty-eight people took up the challenge to abseil down the side of the centre to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance.  Organisers at the HSBC bank in the city, hope that the final fundraising tally will reach £20,000.
The day kicked off at 9am, with HSBC branch manager Jan Pollard and Sales and Service Manager Tracey Jasas the first to take the plunge.  Tracey said of her experience: “When you’ve got all your staff at the bottom knowing you’re going first you can’t back out.  “Thanks must go to Distant Horizons who provided all the equipment and coached everyone down.”
