Abseiling in the Lake District
Abseiling is a means of descending using ropes whilst being fully supported by a harness and using a friction device to control your descent rate. Abseiling has become a popular activity in its own right but is more often combined with a climbing session.
The Lake District offers a huge range of venues to undertake an abseil from short easy angled slabs to very high overhanging freefall abseils for the more adventurous. Large group abseils are ideal if you are thinking of raising money for a charity, we can provide sessions on local monuments and large buildings for a dramatic high profile event.
Some recent projects have seen us work on the Carlisle Civic Centre, Shaddonmill and Birmingham Dentistry School and using Hodge Close quarry near Coniston to run 4 abseils at the same time for 40 teams competing in an multi disciplined adventure race.
All of our sessions are run by highly qualified instructors with a wealth of experience and we provide you with all of the necessary equipment including helmet, harness, ropes and all karabiners and abseil devices.
If you are a group or organisation wishing to undertake an abseil as a fun activity, as part of a climbing session or even as a charity fundraiser give us a call today on 017684 86465 or 017684 81101
