The Ullswater Kayak Challenge

Our Ullswater group kayak challenge is a great day out on the 2nd largest lake in England where you will cover 15 miles paddling around the full perimeter of the lake. You will learn to paddle either a single or tandem sea kayak with expert instruction the evening before your challenge from one of our many instructors. Distant Horizons provide all of the necessary clothing, footwear and equipment for this event so you can arrive knowing that you are being supplied with everything with all equipment being of the highest standard.

Who is this event for? This event is ideal for groups looking for a physical outdoor adventure challenge. It is different to walking challenges and in many respects offers people an opportunity to undertake a new, exciting and very different outdoor activity adventure challenge. Don't worry if you have never paddled before - most of our clients haven't, yet many thousands have now completed a variety of our paddle challenges over the years. Clearly this shows that complete beginners can quickly learn the basic skill required to successfully handle our fantastic fleet of Wilderness System single and tandem sea kayaks. We are proud to be the only organisation in the Lake District who have such a top quality range of boats that are ideally suited to beginner and expert alike.
