The Longest & the Highest Challenge

Duration 8 to 12 Hours Distances 17.6 Km paddling, 14.0 Km on foot

This fantastic mountain and lake challenge makes use of our superb equipment and professional experienced guides. Whether your motivation is sight seeing, fundraising, team development or just to stretch yourself, mentally & physically, then our events are the best available! Using our fleet of "Wilderness Systems" Tempests/Zephyr sea kayaks or our tandem 'Northstars' you begin by paddling the length of Windemere, England's largest lake.

Then with vehicle transport and a short rest you will ascend England's highest mountain from Great Langdale via Angle Tarn and Great End along the rocky plateau towards the summit. The challenge finishes on the dramatic summit of Scafell Pike 976m before the steady descent back to your vehicle pick-up. Finishing in Langdale has the added bonus of being able to visit the famous 'Old Dungeon Ghyll Inn' providing fantastic real ales and great food!

As with all of our packages we will provide you with catering & refreshment, professional & experienced instructors, vehicle support & shuttle, and of course our superb equipment including clothing, buoyancy aids, paddles etc to ensure you get the most from this amazing challenge event.
