The Helvellyn 10 Mountain Challenge
The Helvellyn 10 mountain challenge incorporates all of the peaks along the length of the Helvellyn ridge. The challenge has an approximate duration of between 8 and 10 hours. The 10 peaks are:
- Clough Head 726m
- Great Dodd 857m
- Watson's Dodd 789m
- Stybarrow Dodd 843m
- Raise 883m
- Helvellyn 950m
- Catstye Cam 890m
- Nethermost Pike 891m
- High Crag 884m
- Dollywaggon Pike 858m
Challenge 1:
Walk the full Helvellyn Ridge from Clough Head to Dollywaggon Pike above Grisedale Tarn including a descent of Swirral Edge to Catstye Cam and then an ascent of Striding Edge. Start Point - High Row above Dockray. Finish Point - White Lion Pub in Patterdale
Challenge 2:
Walk the full ridge but miss Catstye Cam and include St Sunday Crag 841m before descending into Patterdale Both these options offer an efficient, enjoyable and safe method to achieve something superb in the mountains making the use of our fantastic kit and professional & friendly guides. As with all of our events and services our all-inclusive packages allow you to sit back and let us organise the whole challenge.
We can organise accommodation for you where required and the Ullswater area offers B&Bs to 4 star hotels. If you are looking for a budget option then we can arrange camping at our farm base and we can provide tents and thermarest mats.
